Trouble with Vanilla 1 install

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I have installed vanilla with a MySQL account that does not have a password. The install seems to work until I log into it. When I do log into the system I get the following: Error Message The connection to the database failed: Affected Elements MySQL.OpenConnection(); The error occurred on or near: MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for user: 'webdbusr@localhost' (Using password: YES) Is there a way to install Vanilla without a password on the db?

Right now Vanilla always connects with a -p argument in the connect command. I've never seen anyone have a problem with just passing an empty string before. You can try editing the library/Framework/Framework.Class.MySQL.php file to remove the -p argument, I guess...
