Only current user is shown online!
Even if i had 3 different users at same time logged on from 3 different browsers , it showed just 1 of them online. For eg 3 users: A,B,C. A saw A , B saw B and C saw C being online just. Hope I'm clear. I have tried tinkering with plugins settings provided , still nothing resolved

did you select the proper permissions in the dashboard ? Did you see if the users are hidden ? They may have selected to be hidden . You can look at the admin permissions for online now and select to view even hidden people as admin.
Also you can lower the time span / frequency it checks for new users.

Hi
Have now more user online, but one user with his name another with avatar and no name, both have a avatar.
Time set to 30 sec and every site. How i change to name only ?
Use Who'sOnline plugin. That one has no avatar.
If the user avatar does not show, ask them to refresh the image by going to the edit picture and just hit save or re upload their image. But the image should eventually show up anyway.

I love these tag-on comments where people don't mention VERSION NUMBER of vanilla they are using. Inches away from ignoring every comment where the OP poster starts a discussion without mentioning vanilla version (proof they can't follow simple instructions) or they tag on (follow-up posters) to other things with me to's without giving details of version of vanilla, when asking entirely different questions.
I also added these I am sure they will be useful.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
Yes the thing is people don't realize that the plugin need to be able to sync with the users that come on line. And it is not accurate by any means. It checks using the time you set up and they remain until you clear the browser or the time expires. So a user can show online even if he is not. This behavior can only be seen if online now is in public mode where guests can see the box.
I would like to add guests viewing as an option.
