vanilla orchid jsconnect SSO not working

I have downloaded (11th June) and installed Vanilla 2.1, jsconnect and followed the instructions to install and configure Orchid for Vanilla 2.1( the forum works in Drupal ok).

But when I try to save the jsconnect new connection plugin it fails. I get a white screen and smiley saying try something to do with not working right now.

I am also confused because the instructions say that the url of the authenticate will be domain/orchid/jsconnect when there is no such path on my server. But I tried domain/sites/all/modules/orchid/jsconnect (the path on the server) as well with no luck. I can see no file called jsconnect in the orchid directory.

am I missing something?
