Hello everybody

Thought I'd pop in here and say "Hi" for my frist post over there. I'm the webmaster over at http://www.studiowhiz.com/ an online community I started about 5 years ago. I shut it down at end of 2005 and have just restarted it recently ... and a week later it was hacked via our forum software. So now I'm exploring new options for Studiowhiz and I'm playing with Vanilla on our test server and I'm LOVING IT! I'm serriously looking at switching ... including dumping ALL our existing threads and starting from fresh ... just because Vanilla seems SO DARN GOOD! So anyway ... that's me, and now I'm off to ask some techy ... supporty...type questions. See you round Mr K.

    you could probably import your current threads into vanilla. what forum software are you using atm?

    We are currently using Invision Power Board ... but to be honest ... there is so much CRAP in there .. it probably wouldn't be a bad thing to start again

    and there isnt currently a way of copying them across unless by hand i tihnk :P

    there are a few migration scripts for punbb and phpbb, and it wouldn't be too hard to migrate that data if needed.

    Oh I'm not really interested in migrating ... I'm leaving invision up as an Archive only ... I've shifted our forums to a new location, they are now invite only ... and I've rebuilt the blog site to use Vanilla too
