Change "users name" in registration page

I tried the solution found here already: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/24751/quick-question-how-to-change-from-users-name-to-username

Added $Definition['Username'] = 'Username'; in locales/skeleton/other_definitions.php but to no avail. I am using vanilla 2.1

Any help please?

Create a file "locale.php" and put it inside your /conf directory

    $Definition['Username'] = 'Username';
