Is Vanilla mature enough for regular forums ?

Yes, its good for mature and immature forums, as well as regular and irregular forums, and mature and immature individuals as well.

but a little prune juice always helps.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

  • Thanks @peregrine‌ . Nice to see @mentions and rating icons. I been out of touch with Vanilla since 2.0. Are they add ons. Always been a supporter of FOSS. You are welcome to join our community and advertise your plugins :)

  • I meant " Are they add ons ? ". Missed the " ? ". I see there are badges as well. I am really tempted to use Vanilla. Regret installing but not playing with 2.1.1 on local host.

Take a look at Yaga application or search for Yaga (the defacto at this point) and search the addons section for mentions add-ons, although mentions is part of core. Best to download a copy of 2.1.1 and experiment yourself. and use the search on what add-ons are available.

  • Thank you @peregrine

With 2 Admins and no members - that what I call administrative overhead >:)

  • So that makes it an admin forum :P

Jokes apart : I am shifting to Vanilla on my tech forum.

  • @meetdilip: Do it! :) There is not much wrong with Vanilla.

  • Thanks @phreak‌ . Already installed at www.techiewiz.in. Setting it up at the moment. By the way, my forum is just 1 week old and I started letting people know about it only today.

  • How to change Timezone in Vanilla 2.1.1 ?
