Add Applicants to Moderator and Admin menu

Hello Awesome People!

Before upgrading to 2.1.2, my main menu for moderators and admins had a menu item called Applicants and a number beside it showing the current number of applicants awaiting approval. Now the menu item is no longer there. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere that I am missing or maybe some custom code I can add to get this feature back? Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

Which theme are you using? Can you switch back to default template? Normally an update doesn't touch themes

Are there any items in the menu at all, can you open it? If not, you are facing the JS problem with 2.1.2 that other people are having too.
