applicant e-mail

Hi, I've just set up vanilla 1.0 and if someone fills out the register form, I got an e-mail with "discovery_information" between two "====" lines. I wonder if this is the "reason why" field. I don't have this field and couldn't figure out how to activate it. What do you think?

    Are you sure you didn't get a pre-release?

    Vanilla 1.0 doesn't include the discovery information at all. That is an extension that you can get from lussumo.com/addons
  • Yep, pretty sure. The version on the left side shows 1.0. I downloaded the Vanilla.1.zip on July 3rd.

    Open up /languages/English/email_applicant.txt

    It should look like this:

    A new application has been completed by {applicant_name} ({applicant_email}). Approve or decline this application at: {application_url}

    If it doesn't, then you've somehow managed to get an older version of the application. So go to getvanilla.com and re-download it. Then upload all of the new files on top of the ones you've got. You shouldn't have to do any upgrading or anything like that. Just upload the new files.
  • Hi Mark, I forgot to mention that I installed the german language pack "Deutsch-formal". Sorry. This email_applicant.txt still contains the {discovery_information}.

    Ahhhh. That makes more sense. You can just remove that {discovery_information} and pretty much reformat that file to appear however you want...
