New to vanilla a few issues

Hello, new here and new to vanilla, i seem to have a few issues, please excuse my lack of knowledge with vanilla forums i am learning fast though! Also any advice on plugins etc and free themes that would be nice please feel free to post any recommendations and also fixes to my issues which may have been resolved already for other users facing the same errors.
1st one is this:

this happens when i click on a users profile where it says unverified user.
2nd one is this:
Gear ( settings ) Icons on the right of users nothing happens when i click them.
3rd one is this:
Pockets plugin is not working and i think this is some kind of java issue relating to the 1st issue.
http://lowpricehosts.com/dashboard/plugin/pockets is just a blank page which i see after clicking settings for the pocket plugin.

No I'm not. I have taken a look at elgg a few years ago, but found it very hard to understand how to develop anything for it. Finding Vanilla was a relief for a beginner like me.
