UserMessages

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I have installed and activated this extension but am a little stuck on this bit in the installation instructions "after you enabled the extension visit settings.php?PostBackAction=InstallUserMessages to install the extension." Is that a line in settings.php? If so what do I do with it (it just says 'visit'). Thanks

  • I believe you would go to that page via the url to your forum like..

    http://myforum.com/forum/settings.php?PostBackAction=InstallUserMessages

thats just my guess though, I havent installed this extension
  • Ah, thanks. i'll give it a go.
  • Yeah, that seemed to make a difference as I can now see the box in my account page. BUT it seems as though I can only send a message to myself. HMMM I wonder where the instructions are...
  • User Messages from "Anonymous" i.e., unregistered user throws an error......... Hope support for this would take this to the next level. Hope it would make messaging very easy....................
