How to extend the message box ?

I am using vanilla 2.1.1. In this the message box like the one I am typing right now is very small and when more words are entered a scroll down appears. Box the message box is very small and I need a auto extending message box like the message box used in this forum.

So is there any approved plugin or anything to enable such auto extension or manual extension. Please suggest it.

It is all CSS. You would add this to your custom.css file of your theme. Depending on what editor you are using this code may or may not work or may need additional code.

Can't textarea be auto height like the text area of this forum ?
Which version this forum is using ..? and when all users could get this version of text editor and forum modules ?

by the way you should upgrade to 2.1.3 - vanilla 2.1.1 has security issues.
