Thread Wiki or Member Summary

How can I set up a thread wiki. This is sometimes known as a member summary. Some examples:

So basically you want to mark threads as some kind of community wiki?

This is actually a great use for the Discussion Inserts plugin:
http://vanillaforums.org/addon/discussioninserts-plugin

You can pin these threads and then use the plugin to add a message like "This is a wiki thread".

Great idea. Playing around with it now. Not seeing an obvious way to change group permissions to allow general members to edit just the insert. Paging @phreak

Just an FYI here is how I solved this. I just created a new sub-category and allowed everyone to edit the discussion in the permissions. I didn't realize this was an option until today.
