I just went over from smf to vanilla 2. i am having a hard time to get norwegian language to work. i put the translation in locales folder. and enable it in locales on my forum but nothing happens? what am i doing wrong?

I would upgrade to vanilla 2.1.3 instead of vanilla 2.0 and then post in the category "vanilla 2.1 help" after you upgrade if you still have problems with locale.

also delete your .ini files from your cache folder.

you could also post the contents of

cache/locale_map.ini

if you still have problems

and the config statements relating to locale in your conf/config.php file

what does it say in your config.php relating to:

$Configuration['Garden']['Locale']

and post the contents of cache/locale_map.ini
