and i am putting the no-nb file in vanillaforum directory /locales? The only other file in that directory is skeleton folder. Is this correct?

that is what my locale.map ini says now after i have enabled and saved no-nb
i forgot to tell you, it dident work, no i am goin to delete the ini file and post the new afterwords
the new files is the same as last time, its empty
/locales folder.

make sure the name of the folder is locales/vf_nb_NO

There are a lot of words that is not translated in the forum. is it easy to change them myself?
Relatively, yes. You will have to add them manually.
There have been lots of questions on this type of issue.
I would suggest typing 'translate' and the term you want to change into the search box here. You'll probably find what you are looking for.
