URLs by themselves, not being clickable

Before my upgrade, if users included a url, with no html code, it used to be clickable. Now its not. I would like this function back, as I'm pushing unconfident first time forum users to participate. Could I have installed an add on, that has made this disappear? Any suggestions what it might be, or do I need to do something else? Thanks.
