straight to dicussions?

Is there anyway to have my forum go straight from logging in to discussions? I dont particularly care for the option to go to categories and neither to my forum members. did a search but didnt turn anything up. thanks!

yea after log in it goes straight to this little page that says You are signed in * Click here to continue to the discussions * Click here to continue to the categories Seems unnecessary.

I have seen that too. Don't know what causes it, but assumed it was because of un-approved applicants, that were also listed there. (it disappeared on subsequent logins, when they were approved.)

EDIT: It appears I can duplicate this by removing the ?postbackaction=xyzzy from the URL on the sign on screen. IF signing in on an administrator account.

this happened to me last night on my board as well, but it only happened that one time. i could not duplicate it. very strange indeed.

That happens to me all the time here. I'm guessing it might have to do with the cache or session inactivity. I leave myself signed in here and then go off to do something else. When I come back, my screen scaver might be on (after 20 minutes or so). Then when I bring up my browser, it might still say I am logged in but I am not. Then I go throught the signout routine and get this scenario.
