About topics

edited November 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Something very wierd that makes me angry is when you have wrote a topic and make a misstake i.e click on the forward buttom, then the text disseapear when you go back. In other bulletinboards the text is still there. Why is it like that?

  • Polo, this is usally a good thing. While it's unwanted (as you probably shouldn't be hitting forward/backward/reload while writing something important) but it's partly due to the expiration date of the document as it refreshes the discussion you're on. Without it, you would probably be left with having to flush your cache repeatedly. In some cases if the browser is smart enough, it may remember the form data you entered and if you catch yourself quickly enough, you might be able to go back and save it. This is the small price to pay for always supa-fresh discussions.
