How to increase avatar size?

hi, how can we increase the avatar size on our forums? is it possible? (referring to the avatar shown in any discussions pages on the forums. i am using bootstrap theme)

i tried the all the code in the link you posted. (i put it in CSSEditor). i changed the width & height pixels but its still the default size

the default was 40px but i changed to 80px. but the avatar not 80px just remain the same size

that worked but the pic is now overlapping with the theme
i hoped that the theme would automatically adjust (go smaller) to make room for the bigger pic.
is there a way to do this?

yes. you need to study css and adjust things that get displaced.
or make the image a reasonable size instead of 80px but a bit bigger and save yourself the pain.
