PurchasePremiumRoles is made to work with the Marketplace plugin:

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.
It should not let you enable the plugin if you haven't go MarketPlace

I did update this plugin although it was a minor issue.

Still getting the blank screen with the new version. After enabling the plugin, blank screen, for all forum pages.
This may be resolved. @joscplan update to the latest version of the plugins.

Anonymoose also reported an incompatibility with an older version of php PHP 5.2 with Suhosin-Patch, which is basically the old "safe mode" issue.
This can give blank screens with little explanation.
