I have a Vanilla forum 2.1.8. I have bought an ssl certificate, but if i use https on the forum the options buttons dosent work.. Its the buttons that is like options for a discuttions or the options button in the right top where you can choose sign out..
No, the only disadvantage is that the jQuery library is now loaded from your host and not from Googles CDN anymore. Privacy freaks would see this as an advantage

Privacy is important, thats also why i use https :-) (I know privacy is yesterday, but if i can filter some privacy sneakers out its fine by me :-) )

If they do not work, you most probably have a JavaScript error. Please check the console of your web browser.
It tells me that the javascript has been blocked:

The jQuery URL is not protocol-agnostic in 2.1 (backport?)
You can circumvent this by adding this to your config:
