Mac/PC - CSS Difference!

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hey guys, I have a little problem. I'm a webmaster and I'm usin' Vanilla for my board. The Problem is: the Menubar is perfect on the PC but on the Mac (Firefox AND Safari) 5px or more under the normal place! Why? I need help, I would like to fix it! Isn't vanilla improved on all systems!?

Comments

  • I've used Vanilla on a Mac lots of times, without this issue
  • same here vanilla works fine for me, i use only mac and everything works fine, but i bet you have a very overoverovercustomized css and firefox wont play your custom music anymore ... as usual :D
  • i'm usin' the "soulscape"-theme!
  • I use Mac, and I also haven't really heard of issues like this. Make sure any custom css stylesheets aren't fubaring things up?
  • Also when you say it works perfectly on a PC (a mac is also a pc) what browser are you referring to? IE?

That's a known soulscape issue. The nav bar rests off the line in Safari/FF on the Mac. Ben, the author of the style, or anyone else for that matter, hasn't found a fix for it as of yet.
  • check your fonts About the only thing that can change a layout from Mac to PC (esp if you are using firefox) is your fonts & they way they render sizes Change the entire font style to something like ARIAL ... and that should help (Or just change the font in the tabs)
