@kamaleon
Well, a search for Wordpress SSO on this site brings up quite a few threads...
Have a look here:
http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/28486/cant-login-directly-to-vanilla-with-wordpress-account-and-vice-versa
Thanks, this looks quite complex.
I will have to study that thread thoroughly.
Thanks again.
That was my thread, but after so much trials and errors with it, I think you shouldn't really do it. It depends on your site though, mine only need to sign in when commenting and using the forum so I don't really need it anymore. Good luck.
I am planning on having a membership site on wordpress.
I want to allow people to use the forum as long as they pay the membership.
This is it.

What?
This cannot be used for wordpress...
But thanks anyways.
you install that in your forum, not on wordpress. you can also use the purchase premium roles or marketplace plugins for that, users can only have access after payment with paypal.
Yes, but my membership site is setup with wordpress.
Not the other way around.
And to that wordpress membership I would like to add a forum.
ah if that is the case then you need a wp plugin and not a vanilla plugin, you will need to check out plugins like paid membership pro and other such wp plugins.
