Being very picky

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
The Saved Searches extension works a treat of course but when no saved searches exist, the line that says You have no saved searches is not aligned evenly (left) with the other items in the list.

I've looked for the style id="SearchSavingHelp" in the extension's CSS file to fix it but it does not exist.

Anyone as picky as me?

  • good spot, wanderer! Now that I look at it, i also notice that thjere is a period/full-stop at the end of 'You have no saved searches'.....that period shouldn't be there, and maybe is the reason for the text not aligning properly.
  • My guess this is what is missing:#SearchSavingHelp { padding:2px 5px; }
  • i guess, the id in the p-tag of the saved searches is just an anchor, not for style-purposes. and furthermore i think that paragraphs in the panel are inteded to have no padding/margin. i simply changed this line in the default.php <p id="SearchSavingHelp" '.(($SearchCount > 0) ? 'style="display: none;"':'') to <p id="SearchSavingHelp" '.(($SearchCount > 0) ? 'style="display: none;"':'style="padding-left: 4px;"')
  • Thanks guys, WallPhone's suggestion didn't work but Daniel_L's did, sort of.

    Now the (remove) next to a saved search is HUGE!
  • what do you mean by HUGE? the font-size? i encountered no problems at all with my changes.
