Link to reset password and link to confirm Registration not working

Hi There I hope someone can help.

The link that gets emailed to the users to reset password or to confirm registration is adding an extra character in and cause the link to not work.

It is randomly inserting = into the emails at random points.

For example

Hello Test2!

You have successfully registered for an account at Forum.=
Here is your information:

Username: Test2
Email: meandmystar=
_@hotmail.com

You can access the site at http://scotpathfindersoci=
ety.co.uk/vanilla/.

You need to confirm your email address before you =

I have tried it with a reset password and the = is in a different place. Unsure what to do.
