Idea: connect to social plugins?

I get notifications from FB and G+ about people's birthdays all the time. It would be cool if this plugin could grab info from one of those and use it. I suppose that would probably involve editing the individual social plugins, so I guess it's probably more trouble than it's worth - but just thought I'd throw it out there as an idea

It would be even neater if the plugin could post a happy birthday wish to a specific discussion, instead of a panel box
I may actually try to implement this.

This plugin already leaves the task of adding the date to ProfileExtender. So a Connect-the-DateOfBirth-field-to-social-profiles plugin could be developed independently

The original (private) plugin from which I forked this actually makes the system user post a Happy Birthday message to the users activity, but that is very specific to the site and would have to be re-implemented for timezones.

Btw, experience has shown that other users will already do that when they see it's a users birthday.
