setup folder security

Not sure if it is mentioned anywhere-- I don't remember seeing it, but isn't it pretty critical to chmod 700 the setup folder after install? Or delete it alltogether?

    It's not really critical. I've made the setup/upgraders so that once you've set up the application, they can't really do much (some of you may remember having to manually delete the conf files or db tables if you messed up during the install procedure). If you are concerned about it, I'd say just delete the folder completely after you're finished. The application only needs it for installing or upgrading.
