Copyright and software licenceses different concepts anyway.
Sure Creative Commons sets the conditions of copyright of design.
Creative Commons is not suiable for code (according to them).

As far as I can see this plugin just appends any text you choose. Though not really liking the inline javascript.

Yes you can add any text, it does not have to be a copyright it can be anything. I use it for that. I did not want to make it into a module because it did not work for me in the Foot. I wanted to add a new section for it specifically.
