  • yeah that would be good. I think it would be good if they could revert it back to normal but defaultly is is highlighted.
  • for the record, i'm still working on this (i had made two versions of the extension. the first one was the "always highlighted" version and the next was the "click to highlight" version. i lost the "always highlighted" version in my hard drive crash because it wasn't being used on my forum)

    i'll have it done soon.
  • Does the "always highlighted" version use Ajax? I'd hope not. I was looking to do a php-only version of your extension, but if you've already done it, then I'll pass =) Specially considering it'd be my first Vanilla extension!
  • it uses ajax for the "revert" link. it's necessary to get the original comment from the database without all the formatting that geshi adds, in order to have a plain comment that can be copied to the clipboard. if you try to copy a highlighted comment, you get line numbers with it.
  • Ah of course. I was looking at this Wiki and found it rather cool, the way they do the code highlighting: http://wikkawiki.org/WikkaFeatures scroll down to "Advanced Features" what they did is put a small button below the highlighted block that allows you to SAVE the block to a file, which you can name with an attribute in the code tag or just leave with the default name. How you do this with php is beyond me. A Save and a Copy button would do the trick without having to revert... then again that's just how I like it, I could try to do it myself ^^
