Admin Password

I added this forum to my site but didn't use it for a while. Now that I'm trying to use it, I've forgotten my Admin password. I get an error when I try to request it (Error Message: An error occurred while sending the email. Affected Elements: Email.Send();). So, I changed the password in MySql and tried to login, but I get an error saying that the username/pw combo cannot be found. How can I get access to my forum?? I've never gotten an email to approve a new account and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Thanks in advance!

    Yep - it sounds like you don't have sendmail set up properly on your server. You can always use an smtp server if you are on Vanilla 1.

    For some reason, I am unable to login for the first time as adminstrator. I don't understand why, i must be doing something wrong - can anyone help? No matter what i try, i can't get access. What exactly do I edit to reset the username & password to Admin/Admin? I'm new to all this, so plain simple english por favor. Thankyou.
