Get Rid of the 'You've Asked Questions' Pop-Up?

Is there a way to get rid of the "You've asked questions that now have answers" pop-up in the lower left corner of the browser window altogether? In my opinion, it's annoyingly obtrusive, but on mobile devices it can actually get in the way of tapping the Post Message button in PM section. That's pretty obnoxious.
For me, it serves no useful purpose other than to harass members as there is already a red notification in the upper left corner if someone accepts an answer. Hello from the Department of Redundancy Department (and again when you get a notification that you have a PM, which is right by the notification that you have a PM—two notifications for every one PM!).
So, yeah, is there a way to get rid of it?
Thanks!

Well technically the only way to get rid of it is for someone to answer the question and then you select that as the answer and you are not supposed to get anymore notifications.

Like @vrijvlinder said, it does serve a purpose.
But changing this translation:
to an empty string
""
in your conf/locale.php should probably work.See http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/26597/tutorial-how-to-change-wording-how-to-change-text-how-to-change-language-how-to-change-locale
