External profile system

The main feature of Vanilla is the discussion boards and, following that idea, I think it would be great if it was possible to retrieve user profile data from another source. I see this being implemented by a config file that explains how to retrieve the standard data (number of posts, last login, member since, etc.) which the profile page itself could simply be linked outside the system.

    Vanilla already has this functionality.
