Administrator account missing messages/categories

Hey folks,
My administrator account sees a total of 1.2K messages, while a test account with member privileges sees 1.4k messages.
I also seem to be missing a few categories in the sidebar.

Any idea what could be causing that?

Try if there is a difference between
yourhomepage.com/categories and
yourhomepage.com/categories?ShowAllCategories=true

If yes, you (the administrator user) have hidden some categories. Just click on the cog wheel for each category and see if there is an "Unhide" option

Well, I feel dumb. I forgot to unhide each category manually. I was sure it was something with the permissions or the import.
