ok i have started a design for a admin panel http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/3862/silohy4.jpg just like to know what you think. Rather than just going nice or whatever please say why and how i could improve it

    That is nice though.

    My suggestions:

    1 .Those links at the top (Home, Pages etc;) I think they need to be part of the design more. As they are they seems to be flying off out of the screen.

    2. Are there meant to be alternating colours on those pages names? I think that needs to be more obvious if it's to be part of the design. Then again, I noticed it.... hmmm.

    3. I don't know why but I hope that symbol on the top right is a rollover that changes to white or something. I don't know why but I do :D

    That's really all I see with it. They're very minor things too and more to do with personal preference. I like the colour scheme and the way things are spread out. Probably get a better idea if I could play with a live version.

    lol thanks giginger, well mm i wasnt sure about the nav. Any ideas where i could put it or insert the nav under the header? also yeah the page name things are meant to be alternating but that could change. you think it would be better if it all alternated such as the category name and such. Yeah the logo type thing will be a roll over i already had that intention :P yeah i need to make a live version :P ill have to try my hand at xhtml and css. Also whats the easiest way to make tables in divs? or is it best just to stick a table in there?

    that does look pretty sweet Immersion! Is that gonna be an extension of some sort with Jazzman's sweet vanilla theme?

    What I would suggest for the top nav is to stick them right ontop of the green bar going across and flip how the image is.. I'ma try to make a picture to show ya what I mean here..

    the green forum there would be like an indicator saying thats the page we're on.

    and yeah, I would try to have the rows there be alternated..
    soo one color would be 
    Index Page                            Main
    and another color would be 
    Category Page                       Main
    those are my ideas, but I do like how its looking :)

    hey little bit of an update. Ive been working more on the live version http://www.mad4gaming.co.uk/Silo i got to there so far. Please note dont even bother trying to veiw on IE as it is fucked. I dont code xhtml and css too good (normally not at all) If someone is willing after wards to sort my problems out in ie and such i would be most grateful.

    Not lining up in Firefox, either; and I think the triangle cuts should be a little more proportionate to the size of the navigation. They're currently too large imo.

    oh yeah btw the content bit is just stuck there not aligned anyway. Yeah i may make them smaller.

    me too :-) it's a really nice color combo, though i wouldnt use it because i am more addicted to light background styles. but for sites this style fits to it is a really nice one :-)
