user administrators

I wanted to set up user administrators just so I could have a few friends aproving new users whenever I wasnt on the forum. My forum grows about 2-3 people a day but it is private, and I feel bad making people wait a day or two till I get online. However, when I set up people to be able to change user roles, there was an option to set others as master administrators. They could see new user notices that promted them to go through the process, but it didnt change the role from applicant to user. I dont want them to be able to do anything besides approve members, at least for now. how do i do this?

  • I'm assuming you have the 'Approve Applicants' box ticked in the role permissions settings for the new role?
  • You have to uncheck the change user roles option.

    You may also want to check that the user admin has the ability to be email-notified of new members (but note there is a bug)
