(I think) Permissions-related issues

About a week ago, someone on my board mentioned that they're not able to see sticky topics. Today, someone (in the 'Moderators' group I'll describe in the next paragraph) edited a post in a closed discussion, and now anyone in the 'Members' group can't see that topic.

I think this is somehow related to roles and permissions. I have a role called 'Moderators' that I created, and people in that category have every permission from 'Can sign-in' down to 'Add comments to closed discussions' checked off. What would be causing people in the 'Members' role grouping to not be able to see stickies and/or topics that other people have edited?

    are you sure that the stickies and the edited post aren't in a category that's denied to members?
