The way RSS processes the forums?

edited July 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I have subscribed to the entire feed for all discussions (RSS 2.0).

Does this send every single new post and comment to my feedreader? Some? If some, what determines which and when?

I assumed 'all' but this does not seem to be the observed behavior in my reader (NewsNetWire).

Comments

  • OK, am I correct that the feed picks up the first post of a new discussion but not comments added to a discussion?

If so, is there any way to feed comments as well?
  • the feed of a discussion give you all its comments
  • OK, I see that subscribing to the entire forum gives the first post of each new discussion but not comments added thereafter. Subscribing to a discussion gives all comments after the time of notification for the specific discussion chosen. For some reason, this wasn't intuitive to me but I get the logic now.
