Vanilla crashing Firefox window

This has now happened twice (intermittently) in Firefox 1.5.0.5 on Mac:

1. Sign in.

2. Open discussion. Discussion hangs; data transfer freezes.

3. All tabs in that Firefox window are frozen. However, other Firefox windows work. I can reload Vanilla in another available window and launch the same discussion that froze Firefox. Original sign-in still active.

4. Tested possible connection to sign-in by signing out; signing in again; accessing same discussion that froze Firefox. Everything worked as expected.

(I should add I am referring to Vanilla forum. Have not observed this on my own.)

    It might the the contents of someone's comments that's causing the problem. If the text-only mode option is enabled on the forum, you can turn text-only mode on and try again. That way it will display all comments as plain text and you can see what caused the problem.
