RSS feed syndication to include replies as well

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Currently Mark's RSS2/Atom addon only includes the latest topics and doesn't include the latest replies, is there a way to include that in the addon?

I would love to know the answer to this as well.

    Me too.

Now I use the rss of the commentsearch to for syndication of the latest replies, but that rss feed won't contain html, html is being displays as code.

I would like to see the rss of the main discussion index to include the latest replies and with html. My forum doesn't have much new discussions, only replies in the old discussions, so the rss there now is useless.

That URL certainly works, but the Auto-generated RSS2 and Atom links need fixing. If you subscribe to any of the feeds from a previous page, you don't get the latest results. And on the comments pages, you stop getting the latest feed once the conversation moves on to the next page. Read more about the pagination bug here:

Exactly, the html isn't displayed in the rss reader. While other non-search pages do contain html in their rss...

+1 for solving RSS feed of all comments in an efficient, pleasing way. For me, the RSS feed is otherwise pretty useless, which is a drag because my users need a bullet-proof feed with all content streamed.

bump... i would also love to have this feature. my old forum (phorum) had a feed which included all replies which users really liked. i also display the latest forum posts on the front page of our blog (wordpress) so it would be much more interactive to have all comments included, not just new topics.

This would be useful for my project too. Example: You've posted a request therefore it would be great to then subscribe to your own request (discussion) and have a feed notifying you of any replies.

Bump. How can you do this in Vanilla2? Do you need a plugin?
