Modify vanilla login/registration through jsconnect to open in new window and not inside frame?

So I have posted previously about needing a working steam login plugin which I was unable to get to work.

As an alternative I decided to use the wordpress SSO instead through jsconnect and use a steam login plugin through wordpress (this one). The problem is, since the forums are embedded on a wordpress installation, using the wordpress plugin through jsconnect doesnt work because steam login requires a new window and cannot be opened on an iframe as seen here

Is there any way I could modify jsconnect or vanilla itself to open login / registration pages in a new window instead of on the frame to have a successfully working steam login?

Yes you can try using the plugin Target_Blank . If you know the ID or class name of the link you can add the target blank attribute and make it open in new window.
