Just stopped working... is it because my Vanilla version very old?

My forum stopped working a couple of weeks ago... 'www.ccaforum.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request'. Came back briefly - but gone again.
Someone has a theory it's because the host may have updated servers and my old version 1, 2008 is no longer good for the modern world. True? Possible? Any help appreciated... thanks

I don't know of anyone on here who is still using Vanilla 1.

If you don't have explicit reasons for wanting to keep using Vanilla 1, I'd suggest updating to the latest, secure version of Vanilla.

Fir update from 1.X to 2.2.1, just follow this:
Use Vanilla porter (In addons, core) to get a 2.0 Vanilla import file.
Install a fresh Vanilla 2.0 forum (You can get 2.0 on GitHub https://github.com/vanilla/vanilla/releases/tag/Vanilla_2.0 )
And then update to 2.2.1 following these instructions:

It can be heavy to go from 1.0 to 2.2 directly.
