Fixing the Order of Announcements
In my one “Forum Help” category I have several announcements such as:
Forum Goals and Guidelines
Getting Started
Updating your Profile
Posting Comments
Starting a New Discussion
Private Messaging, etc.
I want to keep these displayed in a natural sequence starting with the elementary basics and moving up to more advanced procedures. Is there a way to manage this so that when I come up with a new procedure it doesn’t jump to the top of the list because it's the most recent?
And/or - Is there already a simple tutorial out there that I could just link to? This could help, although I'd prefer to include material specific to my forum. All ideas welcome!
Thank you!

Hi LuxVera,
I have been able to keep sequences of discussions and announcements in the order I want by using a combination of posting announcements in reverse order and then sinking each one (last announcmentment posted is at top). If the anouncements are not in the order you want, you can delete and repost, or use the bump plugin to order the announcments in the order you want, then you can sink the announcements, which will prevent the order from changing if a comment is made.
Essentially with unsinking and bumping and then resinking after the order is correct you can maintain order.
For announcements. Bump to adjust order. Sink to maintain order.
Pragmatism is all I have to offer. Avoiding the sidelines and providing centerline pro-tips.

Thanks very much, River. I wasn't aware of the bump plugin, and that should be a big help, so I don't have to delete and repost.
