Discussion Category as a blog feed?

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to make a feed like as in xenforo as a homepage by using posts from a category, lets say "announcements".
So, I would make a post in the category "announcements". Then i would want it to show that on the home screen by having the format like a blog, so the title, date, etc, and the beginning of the post.

It is already there! You just have to attach ".rss" to your category like that: https://vanillaforums.org/categories/off-topic.rss

That's a totally different question. Based on how you asked (and please don't be offended), I would assume that you have limited skills/experiences with html/php.
