mybb migration

Has anyone tried to migrate from mybb to vanilla? I keep kicking around the ide of switching, Bui don't want to lose what we've got already.

I'd like to test it out a bit and see how my users like it also, maybe run em side by side for a bit to compare and contrast.

Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the community.

It only takes about 5 minutes to set up a test installation of Vanilla, so I'd suggest you do that, then grab the Vanilla Porter addon, and follow the instructions:

So I got home, downloaded and installed Vanilla, and ran the porter and... it doesn't look like anything was actually ported.

I had a success message, but what should have happened doesn't seem to have happened.

All I see is a message saying that I've got a sweet new forum.

Any ideas?

Sorry sorry... I'm a little unfamiliar with the admin section of vanilla, I think I've got it...
