Tagging Plugin Users with Facebook Login

I am using the Tagging plugin, a fresh copy, and I'm finding something strange when trying to tag a user whose username contains a space. Some users contain a space in their username because their account is made using Facebook Login. Clicking the @name hyperlink leads to my profile, even though it's the name of another user.

Any ideas?
