Phpbb to Vanilla

Hey, as lots of people probably were, I'm still stuck with my phpbb forums (http://wash.org.nz/forums). Is there an easy way to convert to Vanilla? Has anyone got experiance that could offer step by step instructions? Thanks

Tried the way you you suggested but due to the some unknown error in the original forum that was corrupted I could not. I ended up with just a fresh install and making the 20+ people register.
