Extensions causing javascript popup errors and layout problems

Some time ago i start to use extensions:
- Announcement
- Permalink

and than... It's so so sad :(

Only in IE.

Where is my Statistics??

3. When i want click on some extension...

On everyone ext. !! :( (it's strange, but it's looks like working on IE...)

4. Uh, i forgot... Parse error in RSS2 reader.. Everything in the same time..

Whan can i do?

Before this i make some tests with vanilla.sky/blue... and how i said with Announcement and permalink... When i paste some link into Announcement and... CRASH.

Any ideas?

  • i think its to do with the translation, turn it to english and see if it works.

    First of all, you should use a more clear discussion topic. Try to better define what exactly your problem is - that way people who have experience with your problem are more likely to read the discussion. "Houston, we have a problem" is just about as vague as it could possibly get. Personally, I would have chosen something like "Extensions causing javascript popup errors and layout problems".

    When you turn on extensions and it starts to cause problems, the best thing to do is go back and start disabling them one by one.

    If, for some reason, you can't turn them off through the user interface of Vanilla, you can do it manually by un-including the extensions from the conf/extensions.php file. You can either comment each line out or you can remove an include altogether.

    After you disable an extension, go back and see if the problems still happen.

    Once you identify that a particular extension is causing a particular problem, then come back here and start a discussion about it (with a good title as I mentioned). Be sure to include what other extensions you have enabled, the name of the extension causing the problem, and a description of the problem (as you've done above).
