Restricting access to certain discussions

Is there a way to restrict access ? seems like there's not much option in this area only one kind of member and this means anyone can access anything once they are a member.

    You know you can add new roles and give them different permissions for each category? Not per discussion though.

    I've eliminated categories. I'd like to see if someone knows how to make a topic private for mulitple users, since you can only whisper to one person.

    I just thought about this. Here is one way to accomplish this: make a new role for those who you want to be able to see this special area. THEN, make that role have the ability of seeing hidden discussions. Then, go to the discussions you want those people to see and hide them. Unfortunately, you'd be stuck with having only one user group, but it would accomplish the goal you are looking for, right now.
