2.3 Upgrading
misantropist
New
Hello there
I want to upgrade to vanilla 2.3. But I do not know how to do it. Could you describe it with a simple English?
I'm using a different theme, I'm worried.
Click here to see my site.
I downloaded the (vanilla core 2.3) named plugin.
Do I replace the files there with ftp files?
(And I can not wait to try the rating add-on. I thank you very much.)

One quick way is to read the TUTORIAL Catergory. If you can't make the simple effort to look for info , don't bother asking. I mean we write tutorials for you and it is insulting that you do not bother to read them.

I read it beforehand.
My theme is not compatible and I will wait for the theme update. Thank you.
You could be waiting forever, what theme is it ?
Most themes that work on 2.1 to 2.2 will work with 2.3 .

probably a premium theme or a custom theme. lol. and waiting could be a reasonable choice (esoterically speaking), if someone is wedded to a particular theme over a better performing vanilla core. Some prefer look over function.

There is no theme on the face of the earth that I can't make work with Vanilla. Themes are very simple and it is unreasonable to believe they are incompatible . They simply need adjusting of small things .

well unless you own a premium theme or a have premission regarding a proprietary theme, you would be running afoul of the license if you did not purchase it.

I took backup. And I will do that.
Is it correct for updating?
