2.1.5 > 2.4 beta: Dashboard works, not Forum, Users lost their roles.

After I tried upgrading an empty installation of vanilla (which worked perfectly fine) I tried upgrading my 2.1.5 forum to 2.4 beta.

Interestingly, the dashboard works when calling /dashboard/something, but the forum itself gives a 500 error. In addition, all users lost their roles. Can anybody tell me what went wrong or I should upgrade maybe to 2.3 before? Thank you so much!

Beta releases are for testing purposes only. Not to be used for live sites. Yes , go back to the stable version. 2.3
