Building upon Vanilla frameworks

I'm interested to know how much of you guys did build a website upon the Lussumo frameworks?
I mean using the Page object, ObjectFactory, Controls and such for your own pages.

I'm in between the alternative: either just use it a minima for account handling with people framework, and integrate Vanilla into my design by theme/style as most of us, or jump for real and use frameworks everywhere.

Former experience with this approach would be welcome, if any…

  • I am in the same situation as you are, Max.

The negative aspect with the Lussumo Framework, as I see it, is that the documentation is very focused on just making Vanilla extensions even though the framework seem to have great potetials.

I have started to look at Symfony but I think it might be a little too heavy for me.

I recently looked at a few of the other frameworks for php out there, and they all have these "setup" scripts that get you started with building things. I'd like to develop something like that for this framework eventually.

    Someday...
  • Is there anywhere I can get started with the Lussumo Framework? I can't seem to find any tutorials, etc in the documentation.

This is the closest I've come to writing anything in that regard: http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/2410/?Focus=30141#Comment_30141
